Successful Women Strive to Be Best, Don’t Settle for mediocre.

Increasingly people are happy to settle for mediocrity. I want supermoms to strive to be best, don’t settle for what is available. Do rock the boat, albeit gently.

In today’s social media world, knowledge and research are relegated to the background and we give in to personal preferences. That’s fine, but its made us more selfish. A selfish world can’t complain about why its communities and planet are a mess.

Personal preference cannot always be right. There is a reason why there is right and wrong, legal and illegal. Successful women research the reasons behind certain norms and even laws.

They strive to get the truth, don’t settle for what’s acceptable on the surface or by the majority.

But we keep blurring the lines in favour of religion, race, gender or politics – ideals carved out by a few to suit the few so they can hold money and power and control the many.

Why it’s easier to settle

Most issues are reduced to those four ideals. Research and studies to debunk them take time, energy and resources. What is more, research is sometimes tweaked to favour a false idea or popular movement. This means if you want to get accurate information, you invest in even more work and energy.

Settling means you also gain the approval of the majority. Its easier to get support and much needed resources when you just settle. Basically, its more expensive and time consuming to strive for anything of quality. Even the truth.

The Problem with Settling

Talent is wasted, truth is lost, and the dominant narrative continues to be masculine because we don’t see beyond those four ideals and the popular support that comes with them.

Interestingly, studies show that while women read more, its actually that we read more fiction than men. I dare say that’s because its simply easier to dream.

Without the research, we become mediocre. No one is asking questions. We follow. Follow the majority, follow our hearts, which can sometimes be very sick.

Unfortunately women are one of the primary losers in a world where mediocrity is the norm.

Begin with You

I’d really like to see more enlightened women striving for excellence and leadership. That means education and mentoring. These are both more easily accessible than ever before.

Not the narcissism, bossiness or mental complexes some women in leadership have developed after centuries of being oppressed, but a balanced, trained form of responsible leadership and flexibility.

Responsible leadership and flexibility are researched to work for the sustainable good.

I’d like to see women strive for what is excellent based on research, based on results, not based on trauma, followings and popularity.

Its ever so important to strive now to be enough and empowered to raise our kids and reverse the negative statistics.

Why do I complain so much about this? Because about 50% of the world is female and some of us are moms raising tomorrow’s communities.

That means 50% of our world is either denied access to excellence or engineered to settle for mediocrity.

There are men who fall into that category. If I add the men that fall into that category, it would mean close to 80% of our world is mediocre or engineered to be.

Joinsupermoms is an attempt to shrink that gap between mediocrity and excellence.

When you subscribe, we can share researched parenting, self-care and leadership skills that help single parents own our situation and make the best of it.

No dislike of any religion, race, gender or side-taking in politics. Just an enlightened supermom pooling communities to achieve excellence.
